I started my career as an exterminator in the pest control industry in 1984 working for Chuck Steinmetz (Owner of Middleton Pest Control) here in Orlando. I went on to work for Rick and Roger Lewis (Owners of Lewis-Cobb Pest Control) in Orlando. From there, I was hired by Harvey Massey (CEO of Massey Services, Inc.) and helped start up their GreenUp Lawn Care division. Each job change was because of a better opportunity to enhance my career in the Pest Control Industry.

I decided to start my own Orlando pest control company called MASTERGREEN in the summer of 1990 in Winter Park, FL because I had a very strong conviction I could greatly improve the way our industry serves our clients in the Orlando area. I grew my pest control company from one client to over 2200 active clients by the year 2000. I supervised 25 employees and ran 18 trucks for service in and around Orlando. I sold my company to a National company in 2002 for four important reasons as follows:

1. I was able to pay off all of my debts (loans and lines of credit) and put a sizable amount of money in the bank for the first time in my professional career.

2. I felt my Orlando Pest Control Company was getting too big and I was not able to maintain the high standards of customer service I expected from certain employees.

3. I started NoMoPest.com in Oviedo, FL five years later after my non-compete agreement had expired from the company that bought me out. As it turned out, this was a very wise move because our economy in Orlando crashed soon afterward. Now, totally debt free and a substantial amount of money in the bank, I decided to take full control and responsibility of all aspects of running a profitable, ethical and successful pest control company by doing all the work myself without having to borrow money again in order to do business. I have no desire to become a large pest control company. I have learned  by being small, I have very low overhead and less worries which allows me to give my clients a very affordable price for my services and easily maintain the high standard of customer service I believe every pest control company in Orlando is obliged to give their clients.
